In India, the Himalayas are spread over five States only.
Western Ghats are spread over five States only.
Pulicat Lake is spread over two States only.

Which of the statements given above is/are correct ?

Statement 3 is correct. Pulicat Lake is a brackish water lagoon situated on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Approximately 60% of the lake lies within Tamil Nadu, while the remaining portion is in Andhra Pradesh.

Incorrect Options:

Statement 1 is incorrect. The Himalayas extend across more than five states in India. These include Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and parts of Assam and West Bengal. The recent reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir into Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh also means the Himalayan range is present in these two Union Territories.

Statement 2 is incorrect. The Western Ghats span six states, not five. These states are Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
