Rice is not considered a good source of nutritional calcium. While it is a primary source of carbohydrates and provides energy, its calcium content is notably low compared to other food items commonly recognized for calcium contribution.
Ragi (Finger Millet) is an excellent source of dietary calcium, particularly among cereals. It is recognized as one of the richest plant-based sources of this mineral.
Skimmed milk is a well-established and excellent source of nutritional calcium. The process of skimming primarily removes fat, retaining the majority of the calcium content.
Eggs contain calcium, primarily in the yolk, but the amount is moderate compared to dairy products or certain millets like ragi. Nevertheless, eggs contribute to overall dietary calcium intake.
